what color are the injectors. pink or grey?
Hi all, i'm currently trying to sort out a 4age wiring problem for a mate. Problem being when you plug the MAP sensor in, the injectors stop pulsing.
He is under the impression it is a JDM engine & Ecu (the label on ecu has been removed so im not sure how to confirm this).
But from my understanding the ADM 4age's run an injector resister. But looking at JDM diagrams they don't run one.
So i'm unsure how to wire this up, do I put in the provision for the resistor, can I tell anyway if its a JDM ecu? Injector resistance maybe?

I'll have to check.. I think they are grey from memory.
grey is JDM
you should have asked on the other forum joel.

Thanks all.. Well they are 2.4 ohms, so the low resistance I take it.. Pretty sure low resistance = resistor required?
joel
the pink colored injectors that last i saw on an ae82 actually used a resistor pack.
the resistor pack has a common ground (black) and two white feeds to it (which i can only think one goes to #10 the other to #20) and resistance of each of these is 3.2 ohms
i'll see if i can find the darn injectors and measure their resistance.
found injectors joel
they are 2.8 ohms each
these definately require the resistor pack (they are the round shape plug as opposed to the early grey type with the square shape plug)
