LOL.. might pay to check what is above it first

also, by just hammering, you could put undue stresses on the base of the block (spreading) which, although may be no problem, is not highly recommended

But Seriously.......I have been doing some research on the whole sump issue, and it would appear that the 2RZ and 3RZ share the same sump, I just need to find what sump is what on what vehicle then off to U(I) pull it and scab a sump off some vehicle.

and just in case......to all the kiddys out there we were only joking about bashing sumps with hammers....dont try it at home, leave it to an expert, who has equally no idea, but at least he will have to pay to fix it if he stuffs it and that works out much cheaper.

i've never heard of a 3RZ? what cars do they come out of and what sort of power figures have they got? link anyone? oh and i have searched but "3RZ" is too short and "3RZ motor/engine" just brings up all threads saying motor/engine....

This is my idea of a good 3RZ.....lol.....could you imagine that in a KE70!!!!!!!

    DETAILS:
    -2005 Scion tC
-The transmission is a 5 speed Lenco set up (5 gears, just choose fwd or rev)
    -2000 lbs with driver
-Tube Chassis, Carbon Body, Carbon Floor with integrated Carbon/Kevlar Diffuser
    -2.7l 3RZ-FE TOYOTA 4 cylinder 1400 hp engine
    -92mm Y2K Turbo
-33x15x15 tires in front, 24x5x15 tires in the rear.
-The front wheels have a FWD offset which house full wheel spindle and hub assembly
    -Titanium wheelie bars
-Wingless design encompasses a carbon/kevlar difuser tunnel under the car that goes from the driver's seat to the top of the rear bumper

Why not just buy the crate motor straight from LCEngineering, $7k + shipping for built motor capable of 1200hp and 12000rpm. Just add the optional drysump for a few grand more.... lol (BTW: thats in AUD!)

    OR

ARE have a rebuild package available at the moment, $3k buys you CP pistons, forged rods, bearings, and a few other things.

Hey Lance, I am seriously thinking of doing just that, dependant on how the new engine holds up in the 86, if it goes again, it will be a LC engineering engine straight up, no more messing around.

2RZ and 3RZ do NOT have the same sump, trust me, i used to have to straighten and clean them in my old job, the 2RZ is only mildly stepped and is a FWS

    3RZ pick up

the 2RZ pick up looks similar to this, nott he same

    the sumps are interchangeable

u should look into a 1RZ sump also, its a 2L version of the 2/3RZ

Ok, I need a front sump to go onto the 3RZ, is the 2RZ front sump? can it be made to fit the 3RZ? That is the question.

its not a front sump as such, but its not a rear sump, its a nothing, its mostly flat, but the pick up is at the front so the rear 60-70% can be cut and shut without disturbing the pick up
