Hi,
Found another site with paint codes, including the colour chips for you too see what the colour looks like. For Toyota go to the "Asian" box and scroll to "Toyota", then another screen pops up and you enter the year.

It seems pretty comprehensive as it has the JDM colour codes in there (including my car) which is something I have found difficult to find.

It doesn't seem to have all the JDM GT codes. Eg the TA22 GT had 848, 007 and 630 which I can't seem to find documented anywhere.Originally Posted by river

Hi,
Well that's unfortunate, isn't it?
I could say tough 'cos my colour code is there, but that'd be slack. Therefore, I shall conitnue my search for the older colour codes.![]()

ok, well thats all well and good, but how do u actually get it?
I need new paint for my yellow ra40, according to scion life, its "yellow 541", according to uktoyo there is 532, 567, 577, but what do they look like? Is a paint shop going to know wat "yellow 514" mean?

pity it doesnt have paint code/mixing code for current model mazda 6 blue with yellow pearl (at least thats how it looks, blue in sun, green in shade). Cause thats the colour the missus wants me to paint the top of the RA23. Bottom she wants Gunmetal grey.

Not all the colors are there.
My '76 Corona is "Stormy Blue".
Took the guy at the paint shop about 15mins of looking through books to find that one.
Still no substitute for manufacturers manuals.

Look at the chart on the web site posted by River, they list the PPG paint code against each Toyota colour code. If you give that code to a paint shop you'll have no problems.Originally Posted by TOSCO

You could, but I'd like to think your love of Celicas goes past your own car....Originally Posted by river

My code is 848 so I know its one of the TA22 GT colours, I just haven't seen it documented on a chart and it would be nice to see the complete list of colours for all TA22 models..

Hi,
Indeed it does. My quest will never end until I find your colour.Originally Posted by TA22 GT

848 - BLACK (Listed under Isuzu)
007 - FLICKER WHITE
630 - DEEP GREEN
Toyota marketed the TA22 as the first fully customisable car... name the colour and they would paint your car in that colour (same with interior) so I'd suggest you'll find TA22 paint codes will be listed under a few different manufacturers names.
I've been looking through my info for the TA22 and from what I have it shows the JDM GT was only available in 5 colours.
Where did you get the info from saying that Toyota will paint the car whatever you want?
The brochure I have show there was a white, yellow, red and 2 types of blue. Would also help if I could read Japanese....
There was a green too, but it seems it was on the LT and ST, not GT.
Cheers,
Simon
