Nick, do you have a ballpark figure on price for the bearings?
Also I take it you will be rebuilding them yourself. If it's not rocket science stripping and rebuilding them then I'd be interested.

Hello peoples,
I have made enquiries through NSK and found the correct part numbers of the bearings used in the SC12/SC14 superchargers. Now, I am looking at rebuilding an (SC14 or two) of mine and am now making enquiries as to whether I can get small on one off quanties of these bearings (none are localy stocked). Just wondering if there is any interest in this incase I need to buy more than one of everything.
Cheers, Nick.

2. U17-2CC2U76UG (used in SC casing)

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.
Hi Hen,
I am waiting to hear back on pricing and quanity etc.
Actually I already stripped an SC14 to get the info from the bearings to give to the NSK guy to get those part numbers, so I can tell you its not hard to strip them down, however I have yet to remove the bearings which are held in place by epoxy. Apparently heating the casing and then pressing them out is not toooo hard. Also two shaft seals (in the end plate) should be replaced, and gearbox o-ring. A shaft seal kit is available for US $25 from here.

Nick - If you can get these bearings, post it on the mr2oc forum, there are sure to be some interested parties there.
Heat will release the epoxy and they come out easily.
Strange things are afoot at the circle K
Hmmm . i have a Toyota Training Manual on these superchargers , They say the Rear gears are pinned Integrally to the rotor shaft so that the original rotor-to-rotor orientation will not be lost , for this reason ,they cannot be disassembled .The components are therefore supplied as an assembly, with rotors and gears fitted to the Rear plate .
Just looking at the cut away view of the supercharger the rear bearings are a dual ball bearing , so they should last ok ,
So who has replaced the rear bearings then ?

The pins are easily removable, infact the gears lift off and the pins fall off the shaft once you undo the bolt that holds the gear to the rotor. I just marked the gears and shaft so I can easily re-assemble the whole deal.
I am still waiting to hear back from NSK but its not looking good they e-mailed me and said there is NOTHING in Australia, the only chance might be a Singapore warehouse! Statewide bearings in Perth have to be commended for their service though.
Also I double checked with Toyota about bearings and the SC's are not considered servicable parts and hence you have to buy a whole one (if they can get it!!).

I just recieved a final phone call from the NSK. The news is not good I am afraid. It is not possible to buy the SC bearings. So perhaps I need to find a place that rebuilds the chargers and get it done that way..Sorry guys! Perhaps the SC case can get modified to accept other bearings, but the cost I fear will make it a waste of time...

might have to import the bearings yourself? If you work it out, I might be interested provided it wont cost the earth.
Sorry I wasn't clear. NSK cannot, or are unable to sell those bearings to anyone except the original customer for them...who-ever made the superchargers (not Toyota).
