I have a Crown
My mate runs his remote booster in the boot.
You could also remove it totally and re-adjust your brake pedal ratio to account for the loss.
You can use a VH41 or VH44 booster.
I always get them muddled up, but one is from a HQ and is larger then the other,w hich is actually used on mini's.
I think there are a few different cylinder sizes you can use also, but I don't know of any remote booster that offer a dual circuit braking system, so you might have to only run a booster on the fronts as I'll be doing in my E30...

VH44 remote booster. Just run the fronts through it.
Given that you're in Malaysia, you'll probably have to import one.
Another possibility is an old 50 series Crown - the disc brake equipped ones had a remote booster.

do you mean that remount the current master pump to a new location where the pedal ratio will be increased (ie move the master pump downward), thus increase the pedal force to the master pump?Originally Posted by Viper
what a VH41 and VH44?
i'm running a 15/16" master pump off a Datsun. its brand new out from the box. i've got a remote brake booster too from toyota but its in rusty condition. how can i test it to make sure its working properly before i begin to install it onto my car n run all the hydraulic hoses?
Yeah I had a VH44 on my car when it had standard brakes, however when I went o the big calipars I went to the VH40.
Not sure on how to test it I would normally just take it to a brake shop.
ST177 UZS131 Crown Royal 'G' the pimping limo like daily 1UZFE 144rwkw
DST17T MS53 68 Crown Custom Wagon 7MGTE 266rwkw
PBR vh40 is what i used to on the crown..
Remove the booster setup entirely.
Modify the pedal's ratio and extend the pin so that it moves the master cylinder without the booster.
Typical race setup....

I'd just go for a smaller MC.
Basically yes.Originally Posted by CHB
Work out what the ratio is now, and if you can what the multiplier is for the booster.
If it is too hard for you to brake without adjusting the radio leave it, otherwise, yes, just redrill and reposision.
You might have to move the pivot point on the bracket too, so maybe the whole assembly has to be changed. It sometimes is a big task
BOt familiar with the car, so maybe getting a remove or smaller booster is easier![]()
let me get some measurement on my pedal later.. will let you guys know...
