Belt run diagram for 4AGZE

Hi,
Has anyone got a diagram (from a manual or anything) of the belt runs on the 4AGZE? Would appreciate the help!

The belts should be pretty simple. There are 2, both 5pk, and going clockwise around the belt from the crank pulley you'll see:

On the back belt (closest to block) - crank pulley, tensioner, SC, water pump, crank pulley again.

On the front belt it'll be - crank, tensioner, power steering AC, alternator, crank. Though the power steering pump is often removed if used in a conversion.

Also I think some AW11 motors came without power steering, and had the alternator above the aircon.

So essentially the back belt drives everything on the intake side of the motor, and the front belt drives everything on the exhaust side.

there are three belts (on the AE101 GZE at least).... the two ones of the crank are 5PK belts, and the one from the a/c compressor to teh P/S pump is a 4PK if memory serves rightly (might be a 3PK tho...)

Witzl - Are you sure the RHS tensioner goes there? I'm sure mine's on top (AE92). Does it change betwen generations?

This is the layout on my ae101 motor.


The power steering pump mounts above the air con compresssor on the rhs.

Just finished cleaning and organising all the bits and pieces .. got the head back together. Had to make a few gaskets (just had to grab a big port top end set) but should be all set to throw it back together now..

By the way Kebin I hope you changed that rear mount in the pic ! Centres fallen out.. oops!

ummm... thats actually the CV shaft braket

yeah i got the A/c and alternator belt tensioner in the wrong spot..... so my memory aint that great.

It is too .. guess I've seen too many broken engine mounts lately.. Hehe!

be careful with the sc and water pump belt length as if you have a later model gze (with the smaller sc pulley) it will be shorter than a early model (bigport) one.
