Default Could oil burning in the exhaust cause black spots on the rear of my car?

I have had this problem for a dam long time now, it did it with my 4AC, and my first 4AG, and I knew both those engines ran rich as hell, so I just assumed it was from that.
But now I have another 4AG, and that has been tuned with an aftermarket ECU and wideband 02 sensor, so I know for sure it is not running rich. But I am still getting the marks!
However it and my previous 4AG love to guzzle down oil at a stupid rate, so it got me to thinking, is it possible that if I have a worn motor and oil is getting into the combustion champer and blown out through the exhaust can that somehow vapourise and cause a giant patch of tiny black dots to continually appear from the rear bar above the exhaust all the way to the bottom of my hatch, pretty much covering most of the left hand side?
    Thanks muchly for any info!
    Cheers.

its as much an unleaded fuel thing as anything...alot of unleaded cars leave black marks when u leave them idling for a while on concrete or anything you may notice it on...

the black is soot. either from oil not burning properly, or from rich mixture.

    mine does this...

when i start it up, it'll shoot a stream of big black dots, about a meter and a half out of the exhaust, and it sometimes covers my tail lights and rear bar too...

was hoping thered be some way of stopping it.. but i guess not having a cat isnt making it any better.

elmo, sounds like condensation mixing with soot in the exhaust.
either that or it runs hell rich on startup...

dont think having a cats going to help you to much, mine has a cat and i still get the loveley little black things flying out on startup.

...or you could make some kind of deflector wing around the exhaust to stop the air rushing past and throwing it all over the hatch while driving and you'd also have an added bonus of the cosmetic appeal.

take your exhaust out and flush it... its probably a build up from the previously shitty engines. Had this with the 23, put a fresh 18RG in and all the crap still came out the exhaust... was just leftovers. Either that or put a new exhaust system in, that should help too.

Happens with my stock 4M, straight through exhaust. Water condenses in the muffler, goes black from the soot in the muffler/exhaust pipes. I gave the area above the tail pipe a real good polish now the soot/water never sticks and it aways looks clean. The tip is 3" or something stupid, i doubt that helps.
