    Default 1GGZE Supercharger Relay Issues

I am having some issues with the 1GGZE Supercharger as follows:

Here's the schematic extracted from the wiring diagrams:

I am using a four pin NO (Normally Open) relay part no. 056700-5260. Between Pins 3 and 4 is the open circuit, and between Pins 1 and 2 is the resistor. I hope that's correctly interpreted.

Can someone (Grega, Robbos_Toyotas, Pure_in_Sanity, anyone?) assign the pins to the schematic as I've labelled it?

    Cheers,

    Peter

    edit: just double checking
On the SC Relay I need to confirm the pin numbers.

    Clockwise from top left, is it: 2 -- 1 -- 3 -- 4 ?

Fusing is taken care of already.

Where is "3" coming from? And what is it?

youll have to locate the other wire from the supercharger. then connect pin 3 to it

im still not sure what your trying to achieve but im assuming you are trying to replicate the factory relay and control circuit for the supercharger??

Indeed. Because at the moment the supercharger is not coming in at all which lead me to believe that we had the wiring wrong. Pin 4 from Connector F2 is not connected to anything inside the cabin. That's the connection between the SC Clutch and the SC Relay according to the schematics Grega supplied.

Also I want to connect the Supercharger light which is Pin 16 on ECU plug "Q". I assume the wire from the ECU will need to be offset with a GND wire on the other terminal on the light (an LED or similar). Will this tell me when the SC is operating?

    Cheers,

    Peter

    here is a better idea.

think of the SC as a thermo fan that is triggered by a 0V wire from the ECU

that diagram you have makes things look confusing.

get your relay. connect +12V to one of the coil pins. connect the ECU control output (pin 25) to the other coil output. then use the 2 'switching' pins to make a circuit from the battery, through a fuse, through the relay, through the supercharger and then to ground

Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! My head hurts. Stop it.

So 12 volts to pin 1 (Would this be power through Pin 1 on F1?)

ECU pin 25 to relay pin 2

Battery to Pin 3 through a fuse through the relay and supercharger then out through pin 4 to E.

    Is that a goer?

    Cheers,

Well, I think the SC is working now thanks to you. I went for a test drive and with a tacho connected was getting up around 5500 RPM and it was hauling. But I'd really love a light to tell me it's engaged.

I connected a wire from a small light to Pin 16 on the ECU "Q" (IPE SC light on dash) and then earthed the other side but no light "on" at any time. Maybe I'll use another one in case it's kaput!

    Am I doing this right?

    cheers,

    Peter

just connect a bulb parallel with the supercharger. done

    Hi Pete
Incase you're still having trouble with the indicator lamp, try this:

Only need to run a single wire from the cluster to the SC circuit that way.
    Cheers
