Default 4AGE:20V head on a 16V block possible?

As the title says I want to put the 20 valve head on a 16 valve 100kw block.. is this possible? I've searched everywhere and can't seem to find any relevant info on this. I've read that you need a VVT pulley to run the VVT? I've also read that the piston clearance to the valves is not big enough and it might not run well is this true?
It's because I need to do a head gasket on my car and I can't afford a 20 valve so I thought this would be the cheapest way to get one. Also what else would I need to do? New ECU etc..?
I have an AE92 Seca SX
    thanks any help appreciated

Miss matiching heads and blocks is NOT going to be cheaper.
16v pistons will not work with 20 valves.

Yes you will need a VVT pulley, unless you just run normal adjustable cam gears, you can run a smallport ECU but wont run anywhere near as good as a 20v ecu, you will need to do wiring etc, for the effort it isnt worth it, spend the money on some quads and cams for your smallport.

you can mix and match dude but for minimal gains, it would probly be cheaper dropping in a 20v then pulling apart the 16v and mix and matching parts.

i thought u would just need a 20v head and ecu for the conversion.. because i can get a 20v head for cheap..
didnt know u had to pull the whole block apart

then you need all the intake such as quads etc plus you need the wiring for the sensors that go with the head.

yeah i know.. the 20 valve head that i can get comes with all manifolds and sensors.. just no ecu.. so would i need a 20 valve ecu to run it?
