    Default e30 bmw 1jz conversion

Anyone know of someone who has done it? I currently have a e30 320i with a blown motor begging for a 1jzgte in it, but I don't know if the turbos will clear the steering stuff.

anything can be done with enough modification, that said, there was a guy that was putting a 1ggte in the same series bwm i think.. it was going to fit. considering cars with 1g's came out with 1j's also, im assumeng there almost the same size. So it should be possible.. but sure as hell wont be an easy task.

pretty crazy but im not a fan of the intercooler though.

by the looks of it a 1GGTE would be a much easier fit and would probably be better balanced as far as weight is concerned

owner of that car is on toymods: E30-323ti

I wouldn't know the specifics with the beemer... but I've got a 1jz-gte into a mercedes I think it's less work than what I had to do, heh.

(hopefully to be fully formalized - legal if you prefer - this week)

I've seen bentt's 2jz conversion e30, and i must say it is very tidy.

Have a look on supraforums(au) as he seems to lurk around there for the time being. Last i read the car is up for sale.
