errr 21rc don't have ecu's
Hey guys,
Just curious if this ecu can be used on the 18rg efi setup?
Just saw an ecu in an RA60 that had on the plate 21r-c.
There was no engine in place so not sure if the ecu behind the dash was originally for that engine or not.
If it can be used cool, if not, learnt something new.

If in doubt power out
Yeah I kinda suspected that (figured the -c was for carby).
Still there was an ecu behind the dash which I couldnt see any markings on.
And there wasn't a mod plate to tell me the possible engine that may have been in there
Dave
Well it could be just about anything if there's no markings and the engine is gone, so it's not much use to you. People have used 22R-E ECU's in the past, it's not perfect but it can work.

Yeah,
ahh well, I think I will have to save and purchase an aftermarket one when the time comes to try efi. (have the manifold etc just no ecu).

Just to put an answer to this by myself.
This particular RA60 out at the blacksoil ABC (ipswich) had a commodore V6 planted in it.
Rang today and the guys remembered it because it had spray painting all over the body.
They ripped the motor out to onsell....
Never really seen a celica with a commoder v6 before....I guess they are cheap enough to get....
