Default Can someone help identify these wires?[SOLVED!]

Hi guys, well this is a bigport 4age motor and loom. Some of these wires aren't labelled and i'm not sure where they go. The car cranks but I havnt got fuel or spark.Hopefully someone can identify the loose wires. +Rep rewards

here are the pics: yellow wire?

This one is black with orange trace. it is connected to the factory body loom. I'm not sure if it gets used.

    Green wire coming off ignitor.

Black with red trace wire. no idea about this one.

These two hanging near the alternator dont seem to plug into anything. the one labelled says "earth" on it.

Pic of efi relay? fitted to this fusebox.

Purple and blue wire are connected. purple wire connects to my fuel pump. thin red wire has "W" labelled on it.

What i know is: The engine cranks.
Fuel pump is not turning on. (if i put power direct to it, it works)
    No spark.
12+volts are reaching the coil and dizzy.
    No voltage to the alternator.
    I have 3earth points.
    I have a multimeter
Some power is reaching the ecu. 4.5v on a few pins and 12+volts on a thick pink wire.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    thanks guys
    Andrew

The best idea is to get a wiring diagram and connect things (like the fuel pump) up as they should be. Also it would help to know what model the engine came out of, and when you say body loom do you mean body loom of the donor car, or body loom of your car? ANd your car is a... ?

A lot of those wires you are asking about seem to be "custom" additions to the old loom.
1 - Yellow wire - Just a 12V feed to something. COuld have been anything, stereo, horn, neons, NA BOV speakers, etc
    2 - Check wiring diagram
3 - Green wire. Check wiring diagram. Maybe additional tacho feed.

Trace through the circuit from ECU to ignitor to coil to dizzy and see what is stopping the spark. Every point should be getting power and a relevant signal (CRO is handy to check the signal, but hard to come by).

Also your alternator should have 2 connections to constant 12V. One from the main feed post, and one to the regulator, both are usually fat and white. Again check your wiring diagram.

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

The engine came out of an jdm aw11. Its a bluetop tvis bigport. Loom and ecu were made from an aus spec ae82 i think.

The black with orange wire is from the body loom of car, which is a 1982 corolla It originally had a 4kc.

The alternator has two whitish/yellow thick ilet terminals on the post. it is a 4age alternator and has an internal reg.

The fuel pump is connected as per factory. its earthed in the boot and what the purple wire is connected to i was told is the right wire.

Well the two wires next to the alternator (in the 5th pic) i worked out where they went. the wire with the black plug and black/orange trace connected to the wires coming out of the original body loom. the black wire labelled "earth" was earthed and i now have power going to the "INJ" 10A fuse.

The yellow wire i connected up to the fusebox onto the yellow wire with the pos+ white wire that use to run the 4kc alternator.

I still have no spark and the fuel pump is not turning on.. can anyone else help please?

Your fuel pump wiring is cactus.

Trace it out using a wiring diagram. Or I started a thread about it a while ago called "Your friend the circuit opening relay" or something similar and equally cheesy. This circuit is pretty simple.

Unfortunately I can't help with the rest.

Hen- is it simular to this:
    http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.p...g_Relay_Wiring

I have been following this and my white/red wire is only showing 2-4.5volts. the other wires in the relay have continuity and seem ok..

Yep, more of a background. But that guide is exactly what you need. The white/red wire must be FUSED ignition 12V. Run a new wire for it if it is acting up currently.

    Thanks for your help Hen.

It started!!! A green plug with a black/yellow wire needed power.

Big thanks to "PUREINSANITY" for coming around tonight. Absolute champ
