gen 2 3S-GTE Alternator wiring
Hey! I havent been able to find a wiring diagram and the pins arn't labled. Apart from the obvious main battery connection I have a 3 pin plug with a: Yellow wire, a black/yellow wire, and a White/red wire.
I know they will be:
-ignition sourced 12vdc in
-Voltage sense battery
-Charge light

But which is which?

the best i can do for you is the wiring out of a st202 workshop manual hope it helps, at least a little

good thing for you is, most toyota alt's around that age will be exactly the same.

JZA70 wiring diagrams can be found easily, as can MA70, so you can use that too

If it wires up the same as a 3SGE (which i'm 99% sure it does) the wiring is as follows.

If your looking at the plug on the alternator the terminal across the top (horizontal) is battery sense, the terminal below the horizontal to the right is your warning light and the terminal below the horizontal to the left is ignition.
