    Default 1JZ-GTE fuel upgrades

I'm in the process of a small fuel upgrade. I've got a Turbosmart FPR800 regulator, Russels pressure gauge and 2JZ injectors (the grey ones) with all the fittings except one and braided line. The fitting I need is to go from the end of the fuel rail to a speedflow 90deg bend. The problem is I'm not sure of the thread size. Can anyone help me out here or am I going to have to pull my rail out?

    Cheers
    Dave

Is this where the standard fuel reg screws in ? If so i have one on the floor of my car at the moment and can measure it for you ASAP. Or, I do have a 1JZ on the garage floor at home and can check it from that.

Are you talking about the fitting on fuel rail at the front or back of engine ? Let me know and will check for you.

cant help with the thread type, but i can reccomend going and getting the fuel rail drilled out. its well worth the 20 bux. we got ours drilled to 12mm. Its $400 for an 11mm HKS rail

then u will know what thread type it is.

Yeah it's the front end where the standard regulator screws in.

Drilling out the standard rail to 12mm is on the cards but only if it's an odd size.

I'll upgrade the rail when I eventually go a big single but I'm not ready for that yet.

Shit, I did this recently, you'd think I could remember

Was definitely metric parallel threads with an O-ring to seal, 99% sure it was M12x1.5mm from memory.

if it's the same as the rail on a 7M (can't see why not) it should be an M12x1.25, as seen from here

Haven't thought about drilling out the stock rail, any cons?

This is from one of Turbosmart's installation instructions - Fuel Rail Adaptor Guide. I couldn't previously look at this as my Adobe Acrobat reader was out of date and wouldn't update.
This is the engines that this adaptor fits:
    Toyota 3SGTE = MR2, CELICA GT4
    Toyota 1UZ-FE Lexus/Soarer V8
    Toyota 1JZGTE = SUPRA, CRESTA,
    CHASER, MARK II

    And here is the adaptor.

sorry, my bad yes, the 1% was right, its 12x1.25 not 1.5 Sard catalogue confirms the turbosmart specs above.

Do you want a Speedflow fitting to fit 8mm or 10mm fuel hose?

nah, I'm right for parts now. I have a Russels fitting to go from the rail to -6 fittings and braided hose.

Is it an oring or a "dowdy" (metal ring with rubber/other insert), oring only if it has a recess for it or blowout could occur.Pirtek etc have them, just seals on a flat face. Alternately and a LOT cheaper they would also have a metric to other fitting with the oring captive in it. Shouldn't be more than 5$

I'm pretty sure when I looked at the regulator attached to the rail it had a metal washer with a rubber section/coting.

And both surfaces are flat? Thats a dody seal. Nothing at all wrong with them (provided they are tight) Just buy from hyd supplier so you don't get jipped on price.

I can't remember if both surfaces are flat. I didn't get any with the fittings I bought, it's just the standard one that I'm talking about.

I'm just about to set all this up and am having trouble with getting the stock fuel pressure because of the 044 pump and dodgy idle. So if anyone can recommend a base fuel pressure it would be much appreciated. I'm also changing the name of the thread and will post my pics and details of the setup in here.
