Looks like I will have heaps of O rings spares!

Are you in Sydney MOS? which air con guy you went to?
I guess I will have to look around for an aircon specialist. I dont want it to leak again, such a headache.

I definately want the O ring for Aircon, because when I did the 1JZ conversion, my mechanic replace them air con O rings with the normal black ones. That is why I am guessing the causes of leakage.

Dont want to fit those ebay O rings on then have it remove later on.

EDIT: I agree with rollas, they look like standard Orings, or possibly high temp orings, certainly they dont look like specific AC ones. They specify that they work with oil and coolant, which isnt a good sign, as these fluids have different properties to AC gas/oil, and are likely to be able to destroy AC orings... seems some people will claim anything on e-ghey

"hi, do you have o-rings for aircon? are they any different to normal (nitrile) ones? what is the difference? do you keep them in stock or should i pull mine out and measure them, and get you to order? can you send by post if i am too far away?"

    hooper bearings ftw

edit: thats their flashy new site..... almost making it into the 20th century

also, you can probably sell the o-ring set for almost as much as it cost

I think my search is over.

    Hooperbearing gave me the number
and just call it up, it got everything I need, they have specific O rings for aircon system and he said it is GREEN.

I just need to bring in the size and he can get it for me.

Yep, I am in Sydney. Can't remember which air con guy (was 3 years ago) but *any* air con guy should have the o-rings... but it looks like you've found the solution and passed it on

Something that should also be noted is that these o-rings should be lubricated with a special type of oil (one that goes in AC systems) when installed, they aren't supposed to be installed dry

Nup I don't think WD40 would do it, it needs to be the same oil that goes into the AC compressor... ask your local friendly auto elecy/AC place if they have any
