Measure hub to hub width, work out center ratio and if its an LSD or not (assuming both are still factory).
Should be able to work it out from that info.
hey guys/girls,
i know i have a hilux diff, but i would like to know what model it was from
wanted to know if there was any way of identifying it,
i know that if the housing sits in the centre of the car its more likley a 1370mm
and if it sits more towards the passenger side it would most likely be a 1410mm
just wanted to hear your thoughts/ experences and opinions,

1980RIP NATHAN BRETT DEAN2007,
do you mean one axle would be shorter than the other.[and if it sits more towards the passenger side it would most likely be a 1410mm
i dont think that is accurate, i have a 1410mm out of an rn41 and thats all centerd ( i thought all hilux g series were ? ).
and becuase these diffs came out of so many diff ute's 2wd 4wd and vans theres so many differant ratio's. but they have the same housings.
you will have to mark the tailshaft flange and mark the axles and spin it to find your ratio.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
so what you are saying is all hilux diff centres with fit in, no matter what size diff it is??
im not really concerned about what model it is, i got told it was out of a LN106 or something,
but im on the look out for a new set of gears and wanted to know how to identify my diff so i know what centre to look for

1980RIP NATHAN BRETT DEAN2007,
LN106 Diff ratios
4x4 4.3:1
2x4 manual 4.1:1
2x4 auto 4.875:1
IFS 4.3:1
im not sure about what will fit.
i know the earlier ones are interchangeble
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
This info may help. Is the crown wheel 8" if so its a G code diff. eg G292 = 8" 4.10:1Originally Posted by DQIKST
