    Default Installating a battery backed siren + piezo alarm - pics.

    Hey Ive bought these two sirens to add to my alarm setup, but neither came with any instructions ( bought from Jaycar ). I'm hopeless when it comes to auto-electrics so bare with me. Here are what wires are on each.

    Mini piezo alarm;

    Battery backed alarm;

    Now I understand how to install the piezo to my current alarm siren, but instead I want to connect it to the battery backed alarm, so if my car battery is disabled somehow by someone, the battery backed AND the piezo will both sound. I understand how to give them both power and ground off of my current alarm siren, but I dont understand how theyll siren when that power is disabled. I guess it has something to do with the blue and white wires on the battery backed siren?

    Any help is much appreciated. Im sure its a simple task but i just have no knowledge of auto-electrics haha. Thanks in advance

    Does the alarm have a sensor for Voltage?

    If so, then if the voltage changes while the alarm is armed it will sound if disconnected.

    you wil have to dismantle the battery back up alarm to get to the wires to run the piezo.

    i love them piezo sirens, used to install them into customers cars under the dash, try stealing a car with one of them screaming in your ear!

    i've got a piezo screamer in my car...i love freaking people out with it

    i've just had a look at my alarm/screamer wiring diagram and the screamer only has 2 wires. A red for +12VDC and black for negative alarm output on BBSC so i'd assume it's the same for you

    Any chance you could post that diagram?

    the top hat screamer (as used on house alarms) is worse that that little piezo one there.... 115db of PAIN!!

    Feral answered your question, there is no easy way to do it.
