bump. any mods/admin read this?
is it possible to have the forum rules stickied at the top of each sub forum?
was looking for them but couldnt find them, didnt look that hard but on the old forums there was at least a sticky of the rules in the memebership and suggestion forum

I have taken your comments on board, the idea seems reasonable.bump. any mods/admin read this?
I hope there is no punishment for impersonating a moderator

Hi,
Make a note of Wilo's suggestion (which is good), or make a note of what sort of punishment that can be dealt out to YLD?
I think YLD should have to be Rona's love-slave for a week.
However, onto more serious stuff.... Wilo's post has been hanging around for quite some time before it was replied, and even then after he requested an update. I have noticed a number of replies to valid posts in this part of the forums have taken some time. I understand that the admin/mods can be quite busy, but I think there should be more focus and quicker replies/updates to posts made in this area of the forums.
Can you think of any way to expedite such replies and deliver your findings at the next meeting?
Also, it might prove interesting to request a response from the members to see what areas they think can be improved, and from this you can get a road-map on ways to enhance the site and it's maintenance/operation. I'm not saying there's major issues with the forums, but it would be good to get some interaction and feedback from the members to see how they feel the forums are progressing.

PS: When I refer to "members" I mean financial Toymods members. No offence to other forum users, but it is the financial Toymod Club members whose membership fees help keep this site (and the Club) running. Oh, and also there are those that have offered donations to the Club.

Yes... the main issue with responding to threads in this section is like this.
The Board members of the club who make up the majority of the moderators on the forums all have other jobs, so basically 9-5 most of us just don't have access to the forums.
I honestly don't know how this thread slipped under the radar for so long as I try to respond where I can specifically in this section. this section is the least view part of the forums and very few people use it (obviously if you look at the number of already answered questions in other sections)
In reply to the asking the Club members for their input if you look above in the feedback section there is the Miniutes of the meetings sections where Members can see the current topics that are being thrown around as well as past topics. Some things can take a great deal of time to go through the board some things are quite quick. In this section Members can provide ideas or other opinions. I review this before each board meeting and add any comments recieved to the next agenda if applicable. and you can see the results come through. Sadly the lastest Thread has seen only 25 hits in 2 weeks and isn't being well utilised. I do however source from this sections well for fodder, hense me spending a great deal of time in here.
The other thing that happens behind the scenes that you don't get to see is that everytime a new thread is started in the feedback section an email is sent to all of the board members at the same time, depending on the topic a dessision can be made on the spot if there are enough board member responses. Sometime more discussion happens via email at the backend than in the thread.
Cheers
Simon

I think there could only be a penalty if you were impersonating a moderator, not a modaraterOriginally Posted by YLD-16L

Wilo, as per your request, i have placed the forum rules as a sticky at the top of the non car discussion forum (where they are probably needed the most).
As seen here: http://www.toymods.net/forums/showthread.php?t=4655
I dont have the permissions to do that anywhere else barthe cruise section, but in reality, i dare say they probably only need to be put in a sticky at the top of the general car talk as well.
Hope this helps.
Oh, and YLD's punishment should be to change his login to 7MA61
