    Default Limits of a 1GGTE

Just wondering if anyone knows how much power the 1G can make with stock internals.

    Thanks

There's one guy in melbourne who claims 600hp with std internals....

Just like everything with that particular clown, I'd say he's lying.

    more like 350hp.

    I know 250rwkw is achieveable,
And I have heard of over 300rwkw though I'm yet to see the results myself (that was on a stock bottom end, modified head.)

    *nods*

Mine will be putting out 250rwkw at the moment on a stock everything.

300 I've also heard of, but I dare say as said above, the guy was talking through his sphincter..

emp-2tg's car put down 300rwkw before it had a sad. Nothing spectacular though, and his was an old Gen1 so it was more like the damn thing just wore out.

I know of a 346rwkw but I am unsure of weather this was running stock pistons or forgies. It was running a factory bottom end. and that was with an auto.

Edit: it still had TVIS in it... modified but still there.

when you start pushing more than 20psi with a decent turbo they should last around 12months if its a healthy motor, im guessing the weakest link is the pistons, as thats how both my motors died... neither was spectacular just started smoking abit and using oil...
im now rebuilding one with some good pistons and afew other parts like cams and what not
im hoping for around 350rwkw if i lean on it, but time will tell hey

ok im saying on stock internals, safe power would be around 250rwkw on about 20psi

    boost + fuel = power
its as simple as that with mine, im still using the stardard exhaust manifold and standard plenum runners, stock head, stock bottom end 440cc injectors, stock fuel reg and a cheap hybrid copy intercooler and microleb ltx12s

emp: That is pretty amazing what your last setup made. When it made the 280rwkw was that tuned or untuned? Don't suppose you want to show us your ignition map?

Im picking up a 1g real soon, and i was jus making up figures in my head. but i was wondering how much boost will the standard turbos make before they are gonna give up. im talking like a reliable boost level but. one i can sorta run for a long time before they give out...

cause the lack of money, im gonna run a starndard ecu and loom, standard turbos. fuel system, cooler and exhaust. wat power u reacon is obtainable wif this?

ahaha, im being a wanker with this post, but im curious to know...

    thanks,
    jason

Around the 140-150rwkw mark is fairly standard for the factory ECU/turbos combo on a Gen3 1GGTE, with an exhaust and roughly 15psi.

and the longevity of the turbos will greatly depend on prior maintenance of the engine e.g. my old turbos died at 11psi whereas other people run 15psi all day for ages.
