I have had my 550's cleaned before I put them in. Haven't had any issues.
I have 12 injectors. Yellow color. I want to choose a set of 6 out of these. I want to know if anyone has had any issues taking them to get cleaned before. I don't want them to come back leaking etc...
Thankyou, Brad.

Shane, that's what I had heard, hence the thread. Would getting them tested for flow/leaks be safe?
Cheers Brad.

i dont know if its was the guy doing the cleaning, ie his mehtod, or wether there may be a cauze in them that then locks the shit in them,

Jorrs, can you at all provide details of the process, or did you just drop em off?Originally Posted by Jorrs
The guy here said there were different cleaning solvents, some harsh and some soft which could eat the insides of the injector somehow. Seeing as he had never come across these ones before I was reluctant to give them to him.
Brad.
oh sorry mate, misread first post. I got mine flowed and tested but they came back good so no need to clean just new orings and good to go.
Not to say this could not be the case, but there would not be a market for injector cleaning if they were all ending up stuffed.Originally Posted by 1JZ.747
I have had good results with a set for a 3s-fe.
For $18 each give or take, i think its worth giving it a go and gaining your own experience.![]()
meh...
yeh just dropped them of, got four done for 98 bucks, tested and cleaned, 2 were in pretty bad shape and now have improved economy and the idle is smooth as
good stuff...

hey jorrs where abouts did you get them done at?
and i assumed you pulled them out of the car?
As they say in the book, assembly is the reverse of dismantling, but slower cos you forgot where all the bits are
I got my first set of injectors cleaned, plan is to get my 7M ones cleaned before my Microleb goes on. Cost me $99 for 6, trade price.

i think it comes down to what solvents they use, how "vigorous" the ultrasonic bath is, and if they are being pulsed with fluid runnign thru them at the same time...
some places seem dodgy, others never have probs.... fidn one that is recommended by a few people and go with them![]()
