Part of the main ecu maybe?
As per the title. I pulled apart the glovebox, its not in there. I couldn't find it in the boot walls, and It wasn't in under where the stereo goes... soo... WHERE IS IT?![]()

Part of the main ecu maybe?
nope definitely not. its a standalone ECU. seen them on yahoo auctions..

i would assume behind the glovebox insert where the ecu is. Soarer ones are all located there i assume jzx90s would be the same ;-)
RA23 - Twincharged
JZZ20 - Daily
definitely not behind the glovebox.
ok i finally found the ABS Diagnostic jumpers (hidden away under the drivers kick panel) and bridged TC and E1 and now have a Code 43. Anyone know what that might indicate? (I'm assuming its a code 43 coz the TRC light flashed 4 times, pause then 3)
EDIT - BINGO! Got It! Thank you PlanetSoarer
TRC - 43 - Malfunction in the ABS or TRAC (Brake) Control System
Footnote - If a malfunction is detected, the TRAC OFF Light will stay on
Exactly my problem. OK If i only knew where the damn ECU is I'd check it now!![]()

I would have thought the ABS light would have flashed if there was an ABS problem ?

the TRC and ABS systems are aligned as they share the same ECU. If theres a problem in the ABS system external from the ECU then the ABS light will flash, but if its a ECU problem or TRC problem then the TRC light will flash.
this is the ABS/TRC ECU

That looks like the ecu that is a bit further under the driver's feet than the diags connector that you just found (well, on an x100 anyway...) You'd need a torch to read it, tho.

Now driving 20V Turbo 1.8 N-S FWD
in the MX83 the ABS computer is between the back seat and the back of the boot
might be the same as JZX90![]()
