is a plain-old narrowband sensorwith a toyota flange instead of the industry standard 19mm thread
find similar from another toyota - there are older threads here about wiring up sensors if you have a 4 wire unit and can only find a 3 wire.
Hello,
I have not been able to find a part number for a 1g-gte oxygen sensor.
Does anybody know the part number for this oxygen sensor.
Is the oxygen sensor used in the 1g-gte a specific one or is it a general one thats used in many cars? If so where can I get one?
Thanks.

I have a fair few of these lying around if your after one
I want a new one, but I want to know which one will fit and work correctly with my ecu.
Z2TT,
There are actually a number of different O2 sensors used by Toyota for the 1G-GTE, If the engine was factory fitted to your vehicle then just call Toyota and quote the chassis number an dthey can order one for you. I replaced mine not long ago.

yes, but they behave the same electrically - they're all narrow band sensors in 1Gs.
Would I be able to buy a Oxygen sensor from Supercheap or Repco, or will I have to get a genuine Toyota One?
Thanks for the replies.

The main variance between the factory 1G sensors is the plug where it connects to the harness.
That being said you can't just fit any old aftermarket narrow band sensor. It needs to have the right calibration/voltage outputs to work with the factory ecu.

Have you actually checked that, because I'd be very surprised if it was different electrically from nearly every other narrowband O2 sensor on the market. They do a very simple task and they all basically do it the same way.Originally Posted by TheToyman75

Maybe you forgot where I work ? There is a reason there is ALLOT more than 1 aftermarket narrow band O2 sensor on the market, and the same reason why most of them don't suit the application they are sold for.Originally Posted by JustCallMeOrlando

Nope, I didn't forget where you worked at all. Sure there are lots, but if we're talking basic narrowbands like the 80's spec 1G uses, they've mostly differed by their number of wires (i.e. do they have heating elements in them).

fwiw: the 1G sensor is a narrow-band sensor, and like a bosch 3 or 4 wire narrow-band sensor found on a ford or holden or an audi or a BMW etc. it will be 0-1v range with a crossover point to suit a 14.7 AFR (e.g. petrol). Differences in wiring will be the heater configuration and earth return for the sensor.
And this is why workshops like ours are never quiet lol.
But hey, I'm guessing by this reasoning all Air flow meters are the same too, they all work between 0-5 volts and do the same job![]()

Lets not oversimplify this Roddles. AFM's are totally different because they can be done in a number of ways. Most narrowband O2 sensors are Nernst Cell (?) and function almost identical.Originally Posted by TheToyman75

Roddles lol, I haven't been called that in ages.Originally Posted by JustCallMeOrlando
