    Default Buckled Wheel

I bought a set of 15x7" 3 piece rims recently and have found that one of them is buckled slightly. It's probably pushed in about 3mm or so and it's only the outside half of the rim, if you get the picture.
Does anyone forsee any bead sealing issues? if so any suggestions as to who, where and how much to repair it?
I had a go at bashing it around with a block of wood wrapped in foam and a log splitter, but i wasn't game to smack it too hard and it had very little effect overall.

    Cheers,

    Jim.

I cant see the picture but if your concerned about it, take it a good engineer and they should be able to fix it. Shouldn't cost too much. I got one of my rims fixed which had massive gutter rash on it for $90. Came up brand new looking.

Yeah, I didn't post a pic. Im pretty sure it wouldn't show up in a photo anyway, its a very slight buckle.
Mabe a better question is do your wheels have to be 100.00% round (unbuckled, normal whatever) for the bead to seat properly? I guess I'll find out when the tyres go on, but if anyone has had any relevant experiences I'd like to hear about them...

    Thanks for the help!

A reputable rim restorer will be able to remove a buckle no problems. I had the same issue with mine, now, good as new.

I've seen tyres on some reasonably damaged rims (much worse than yours sounds) and they have stayed seated and held pressure.

However to get them fixed speak to Ajax in Moorabin or Nuway (maybe Neway or similar) in West Heidelberg.

    Tis Neway.

They are good and good priced also.

They are in the White or yellow pages, go on, no need to be racist...

Awesome, I spose I'll just take them to the tyre shop to get the tyres on. If they say it needs to be fixed, such action will be taken.

    Thanks for the help guys!
