send it to efi hardware in melb
I've got a 3SGE throttle body here to install.
Before I do install it, I want to bore it out from 55mm to 60mm or so.
What's the go with butterflies etc? Do I take one from another throttle body with the right diameter, or do I get a new one made?
Also, does anyone know where I can take it in Brisbane to get this done?
Thanks.

Nah, haven't thought of that. Does it have the same idle control motor as the 4AGZE and 3SGE?
I have no idea.
i only got to the stage that its bolts on at the wreckers. You'll need to die grind out the inside after the TB anywhos. Prob 6mm bigger overall. 3mm top and bottom.
Yea, I've already got a 4AGE TB in place of the 4AGZE, and have the pipe to the supercharger bored out from 50mm to 55mm.
I might have to check the Camry TB out. Are the 4cyl ones the same diameter as the V6? My bro has a 4cyl 2006 Camry.
^ Don't think they are the same size TERRA, unfortunately the wrecker i went to had only one v6 camry and its TB was gone... so i got a 3sge one... not going 60mm yet, but when sc14 decides it wants to be installed with custom piping then i'll think about it![]()

Thanks guys, I still haven't got this done yet. Just waiting on an adapter before I fit the TB....
I'm a 15 minute drive from Archerfield so I'll try him first.![]()
i thought i wrote that article showing that they bolted on!?
craig can sort that out for you anyway.. he makes that sort of stuff all the time![]()
I got the TB already, just not the bit that bolts on the top to connect the intake pipe to.

Lathe, 4 jaw chuck and a boring bar are the only way (well, there are others) to do the job. Hand ported TB = leaks = high idle speed unless you are very fustidious and have some serious patience.

It's not the throttle body you bore out by hand. It's the pipe that goes from the TB to the supercharger.
I did it with a Dremel. You don't need to touch the mating surface, only the inside to make it a few mm larger.
My pipe doesn't leak at all.
