I know each wheel has a height sensor on the suspension. One part bolted to the suspension and the other part to the chassis, so I can sense what height its at.
im looking for some info or schematics on how the celsior (UCF11) airbag suspension works. havent found anything from poking around on google.
a (pneumatic and electrical) schematic should answer nearly all questions but im wondering a few things like:
-what inputs go to the controller
- how does it determine height (what sensor type and output signal)
-etc, etc
don't tell me its a airbag filled with compressed air or i will neg rep you. i want information or help to find information on more intricate workings of the system.
cheers
Brett

yeh i figured as much.
what sort of signal does it produce?
analogue 0-5V type thing?
hello
Not sure what it is. I couldn't get any of the plugs apart to measure the resistance, but I'd presume its similar to a TPS style signal.

so the aftermarket controllers intercept this signal and scale them equally lower by a desired amount?
seems straight foward...?
does the oem controller compensate for taking corners? ie pump air from inside to outside when cornering?
hello
That would be my guessOriginally Posted by brett_celicacoupe
I highly doubt the airbag system is quick enough to do this (its not the hydro system like the UZZ32's).Originally Posted by brett_celicacoupe
It would just be the TEMS making the shocks stiffer to counteract roll.

There was a thread on SC a while back about the workings of the Soarer system which i presume is similar/the same
I only recall that the sensors were a bit more complicated than a simple pot and were not repairable, also that the system has a fair bit of tolerance built in for height fluctuations
Schematics would be available as part of the soarer wiring diagrams which are around
excellent!
any chance of a link or unique search string?
hello
Schematics are part of the "soarer workshop manual" from your favourite P2P app/torrent
its about 600mb unzipped though.... and the diagrams/info relating to air suspension will all be in japanese as the US cars never got it and afaik no one has translated them
i'll have a look and see whats there
Did the US LS400s get airsus? i know the aussie ones didnt
As far as SC i would just do a general search on airbags/air suspension, etc
Yeah, US LS400 got airbag.
