    Default 7AFTE Officially exists?

Does the 7AFTE officially exist in japan? I cannot find any information on this engine. Seems like toyota bolts on a turbo on a 7AFE and just ads a T to the engine code?

Which car were they on if it did exist? Also was the AE112R corolla in japan? Did they have some high spec powered variant?

The sportivo corrola's released with the 7AFE turbo in Australia used an aftermarket turbo kit.

This wasn't a JDM market engine at all.

hahaha....20V head, quad throttles...all the good stuff. Need me an ECU and some conrods that'll stand up to it All the parts (except pistons and rods) shipped for $1400. Cheaper than a 3S, and I can keep my box!

As said above, never existed as a JDM motor. Sportivo Australia took a number of Corollas slapped turbo's on, painted them gold and gave them shiny wheels. Pretty quick for what they are, but from what I saw a few dyno days(DD11) ago don't make a tonne of power(less than a N/A Gen 2 3S-GE), but probably a little torquey and fun for what they are...

They'd be lucky to beat your standard Corolla now. I wouldn't call that quick, and they were priced the same as a WRX which would drill them into the ground

Just to completely ram the spoon in......

The was/is absolutely no such thing as a 7A-FTE in the Japanese market available from Toyota

... 7afte is just a nickname given to a 7AFE with a turbo slapped on it, just the same as a 4AGTE is a nickname for a 4AGE with a turbo slapped on it - it doesnt really exist.
    ...... butt scratcher?!

If only it was that simple as slapping on the turbos.
