    Default 7MGE TVIS vacumn hose

    hey guys
im having some trouble finding where the vacumn hose from the TVIS diaphram in the middle of the intake manifold goes.
the hose is there, there is just nowhere to connect it too!
    help would be appreciated, thanks!

Doesn't the 7MGE have ACIS instead?

theres no TVIS on the 7M's.

most hoses on the 7M's also go into the throttle body.. this might help

Some rare 7M had TVIS I guess! So you might be the lucky one.

its ACIS, and the vacuum hose goes down under the intake manifold to an SCV connected to a med sized metal air vacumm reservoir

    As stated, it's ACIS.

Basic rule of thumb...Cressida motors didn't have it, Supra motors did have it.

my mistake it's the ACIS engine, i was told it was TVIS
im unable to find any info about AVIS on google though?
my understanding is that its a butterfly that opens the 2nd intake port when manifold vacumn is increased?
would taking this butterfly out altogether be a bad idea?
the engines just feeling like its running out of puff after about 4000rpm, but it's a really smooth revving engine all the way to limiter, just feels like its restricted somewhere and im counting on it being the AVIS

heres a informative dot and line to specify the diaphram and hose im talking about.

nope thats just a crappy stock 7m they dont flow well, and hit a wall around 5k

ACIS on or off really doesnt make much difference on the backside dynometer

    ""Acoustic Control Induction System:

The ECU controls the position of the intake air control valve based on input signals from the throttle angle (VTA) and engine RPM (Ne). The VSV, which controls the vacuum supply to the actuator, is normally closed and passes vacuum to the actuator when it is energized by the ECU.""

If you search on AVIS as you've said in your thread all you will find is truck rental companies. Search on ACIS. Read through the links I've posted in the thread above, they give a good rundown. Ed would know about the 7M more than me, but if it's anything like the 2J, it make a massive difference when it's not there. Investigate www.supraforums.com as well, this is a much covered topic there for the 7M.

If it's anything like my TVIS, it'll make a big difference if it's locked shut. My car was a demon...to ~4000rpm then choked itself to death.
