    Default 5SFE into SV21

    1. Is it worth the upgrade vs any extra work vs replacing it with a reco/import 3s?
    2. Computer/harness, change or same? Will existing harness plug into 5S & computer or just swap engine/harness/comp?
    3. Yes have searched.
    4. Anything else need to know?

Just a daily driver, not looking for performance. Just need to keep it on the road.

i'd just bang it in with all the 3s stuff.. and see how it runs..

take it to a place with a dyno and for less than $100 just get them to put it on the rollers to check the AFR's...

i am about to swap a 4afe, to a 7afe and just run everything off the 4afe on the 7afe.. i can't really see it being to much of a problem.. nothing the ecu won't be able to compensate for at least..

All plugs should be same? Anything on the 5s wout a matching connector could be left unplugged but the 3s stuff will need inputs for all.

as in use the 3s coolant temp senders, dizzy, tps etc etc.. onto the 5sfe..

i'm assuming they have the same size dizzy shaft.. lol.. that could get you in a bit of trouble.. might wanna check that out first at the wreckers..

5s block is taller from memory but it should fit fine.
electrics i can't say for sure, but have you thought about sourcing an early model 3sfe? some of the recent coronas came out with them (square spark plug tube) and they'd be easier to drop in.

If you are going to run the 5s, best to compare the two motors at wreckers first to see if sensors etc will go over. i'm sure i've read about it before somewhere but its been ages since i looked into that option.
