Default Where to buy fuel hose

    Hey guys,
I've got a leak in a fuel hose and just wondering where I can go to get some more. Also, is this the same kind of hose that's used to carry coolant? I'm thinking I'll just replace everything for peace of mind.

    Cheers

Fuel hose and coolant hose are different.

Go into any auto parts place and they should sell it by the metre. Make sure you specify what its for so they give you the right hose. EFI and Carby fuel hose are also different so make sure you tell them exactly.

I found Pirteck a lot cheaper for fuel hose than the likes of Repco etc.
    Coolant hose is different.

    Cheers guys
So I just specify EFI hose and I'm good to go. Does Pirtek do coolant hose as well?

what coolant hose are you talking about?

A lot of them are specific bends/diameters, and have their own part number (ordered from toyota or similar).

Fuel hose you just specify the diameter, EFI or not, and how much you want

    Thanks for that Draven!
Ahhh, I thought coolant hose was just generic didn't realise it was specific. I'll look into it.

Thanks for all the help guys =]

pirtek... for fuel/oil cooler line etc etc i use pirtek 'multipurpose hose' 500psi rated.. fuel/oil/water/nuclear safe.. and at around $8 a metre for 5/16th (8mm) it's dam cheap.. and it's just neat black... i'd rather spend more money on getting proper stainless 'efi' clamps they have a bit of a tab under the worm drive to stop it from cutting into the hose... nothing looks better than nice fresh neat black hoses, with neat stainless clamps all facing the same direction (pet hate of mine when ppl have them done up all differntly on angles and opposite..)

i've used aeroquip blue hose once for an oil cooler, and some fuel line.. looks the goods.. but pretty expensive when you need metres of it...

Yep i used pirtek multipurpose hose too for my oil cooler and remote oil filter setup. Good stuff, solid, (tripple?) lined i think.

But Fuel hose, pretty much any auto shop but make sure you get efi stuff. (good shit at MSCN)
