Default 1jz alternator wiring into s13?

    Hey all

I am nearly finish my 1jz engine conversion into my 180sx, yes yes I know Nissan junk, anyway I was after info on wiring the 1jz alternator to the 180sx loom.

I have searched a few forums and can't find the specific info I am after, I have it worked out except for the switched ignition wire. The problem is my 180sx doesn't have a switched ignition wire for the alternator, it just has the main 12v constant, earth, second constant 12v and dash light wire.

Can I just run a switched ignition wire from somewhere in the engine bay to the alternator with a inline fuse?

    Any help will be great.

    Thanks

    Ashley

yeah man just run it from a switched ignition in the engine bay, should be able to pick it up from the main fuse box from a relay there, run 4mm wire cos the alternator relies on that wire for proper regulation, and then just connect the dash light wire and main B+ wire and u should be all good.
