Default Exhaust is too loud! max performance min noise?

Hey guys, i have a full 3 inch exhaust with a hot dog and a 4" cannon, its just stupidly loud and i hate the drone and attention, sounds like im trying too hard lol..

Obviously i can get rid of the cannon to make it quieter but what can i go to?
What are some options to keep the exhaust performance and reduce the noise??

    thanks guys

fuck the cannon off for one thing and get a nice high flow muffler instead. A big fat oval muffler. will kill off all the drone and wont really affect the performance by any significant margin

    What he said

A *decent* rear muffler, lots of body size and good packing, and a centre resonator should kill the drone nicely. You could always go a Varex if you want the option of noise, they're QUIET when they're closed too...

not knowing all the specifics of which car... have you checked Fujitsubo or Kakimoto?? Both of these companies make excellent exhaust systems

Def go the Varex, I have one fitted to my 3SG in my Camry - Quite as stock when turned off, and at the push of a button free flowing straight out to your (and the whole block) ears.

Great for avoiding Police while still getting good perfomance and econermy - at only $500, and takes 10 mins to wire up.

Stick as many straight through mufflers in as you can fit, the bigger the better.

I had the same problem in the Levin. They put a resonator where I said to put a straight through muffler (cat - resonator - split - dual straight through mufflers). After taking it back and getting it swapped, the drone and buzz was gone.

Ressie chambers and muffler silencers work well, downside with the silencers if you full noise is geting out of the car to change them over.

The Varex type or Apexi guff as posted above works a treat and easy to use at a press of a button.
