extractors off a 162 celica should bolt up you might have more luck finding some cheap ones of those
Hey all, just bought a XV10 Camry for the wife to hack around in, its fairly tidy and was really cheap so i was looking at spending a couple bucks just to make it a little less stock boring. I know some people may find it a bit gay that i want to alter the camry but oh well.
Just thinking off the basics... Not looking for massive power gains or anything, just improvements over stock.
Wheres the cheapest place to buy Extractors? I have found prices on ebay/au but $440 i reckon is a bit crazy. There are some cheaper OBX ones from the states for $220 but i'd reckon the freight would kill me, but they come with the engine pipe too which i thought was good value.
Also i noticed in the states they offer a air intake pipe/ pod filter kit for the camry for around $65, i wouldn't mind a bit more induction noise lol.
Can anybody recommend a upgrade chip or something? Or just leave it alone?
Does anybody do swaybar upgrades for them?
Any other suggestions?
Not expecting the world, just a slight improvement in performance.
Cheers Lads.

hurricane generally make cheap headers for lots of cars. don't know if you may find one specifically for the camry but the stud pattern is the same as blake mentioned for the st162 3sge, but also the st184/204 had the 5sfe engine, tho the headers may need some modding to fit the camry.
just put a K&N replacement panel filter, those camry's have a freaking massive airbox.
not a toyota, but i had similar experience with a mate's honda.
i fitted a set of extractors and an exhaust to his civic sedan (grandma spec car, non v-tec, etc), and his fuel economy went from 7.5L/100km to 6.8L/100km, and the car had more poke. we then fitted a high flow blitz pod filter and made up a less restrictive intake pipe from 3" pipe to the engine, fuel consumption dropped again to less than 6.5L/100km!
definitely worth doing on any car. no cheap car will have a optimised intake and/or exhaust and there's always gains to be had. with the price of fuel nowadays, anything that can better fuel consumption is worth doing.
SHEPPO..
