I should also note I'll be using the stock TPS, so resistance values will be identical; but there will be greater airflow at lower throttle.
Hey guys,
2JZ-GTE related question here...
From what I can gather, running a slightly larger (80mm) throttle body on the stock intake plenum should be okay, since JDM run MAP not MAF?
I know with a larger throttle body the airflow is greater at a lesser amount of throttle, but as far as the stock ECU is concerned; it just responds to manifold pressure? or is a greater reading at the MAP and lower reading at the TPS than what it expects going to cause it to have a fit?
(and yes, I know that I don't need to; but I have a reason to do this).
Cheers for any help!

will be fine with the stock ECU - it only uses the TPS (and thus by inference the size of the throttle opening) for acceleration enrichment, idle and WOT sense. Fueling is based on rpm & MAP (with compensations for air and coolant temps).
