There is no part number to give to parts dept, needs to be ordered from SPX Australia and invoiced and delivered to the dealer.

    Hi Dave

I got mine from ebay and it came with a cracked version of techstream. So far it is the only scannner that willtalk to my 2000 model GS300 via the obdII connector.

    Andrew

This is the same as the one I bought but much cheaper from another ebay seller.

this is a little off topic from the original car. but still related to techstream.

I got a copy of this to look at an MR2 Spyder. This cars has specific service requirements in toyotas hand held tester. Will the tech stream software have these same options for the software that toyotas hand held tester does?

eg. when replacing parts on the hydralic transmission you have to plug in the hand tester and select PARTS EXCHANGE to do an ECU relearn.

I ask because I haven't bought a cable yet. but want to be see if it will serve my requirements before i make the outlay.

well its only 55 bucks so just buy it and test it
if it doesnt work on yr mr2 u will defenately use it on other toyotas
its not the cable that determines what it can do its the software
ill load up my latest techstream and see if i can trick it so i can see what it does to an mr2
u cant get many options if u r not connected to car

i know when i do the landcruisers i can select reset ecu
maybe do a search as there is a way to reset ecu on prado without needing scanner
and might be the same with yr mr2 if its obd2
