1JZ water pump upgrade

Hi All,
This is my first post so here we go. My son recently purchased a mx83 with a 1JZ GTE in it. As always with second hand cars something went wrong in the first week. The water pump sh*t itself, after much Googling etc I am now 1/2 way through a water pump upgrade. So here's my question......Do I need a 2JZ fan/serpentine belt?, and does anyone have a cheap 2JZ water pump pulley to sell me? Toyota want a small fortune for it.

Buy a kit new from ebay US. Much cheaper! Do timing belt etc while you're there.

you need the following from a jzz30 or jza80

- front water pump housing (non hydro)
- water pump pulley.. less than 100 from amayama if i recall
- 6pk 1940 drive belt

I got my pump from Toyota which included front and rear housings and all seals for 190
Got a pulley of a 1jz soarer from the local wreckers and use the belt as mentioned above

Would highly recommend doing the timming belt, crank seal and cams seals as the timming belt needs to come off anyway

I plan on doing the crank seal belt is only 20k old so it wont be replaced and the cams have no sign of leaking so they are stayin as well (if it aint broke dont fix it). I bought the pump from penrith Toyota and by the sounds of it I got touched a little it was $300 but its still way cheaper then the hydro unit.

driftmotion.com has them crazy cheap for the alloy pulley set.

If we all worked on the proviso that if you remove it replace it why dont I just replace the cam belt and the hydraulic tensioner and the tensioner pulley both cam seals crank seal serp belt etc etc. I dont know about you but I am not a millionaire. The belt is a gates blue racing belt it $150 and its only had 1/5 of its life so It goes back on. I think it is still a way better belt ,1/5 used, than an original toyota belt. If It was a bog standard belt I would have replaced it.

Don't go replacing seals if they don't leak.

I have a water pump pulley to sell to you if you want.

You need JZZ30 2.5L TURBO water pump or 3.0L JZA80 TURBO water pump,
do not get non turbo pump.

If you have JZA70 water pump setup, you need both front and rear water pump housing,
because jzz30 or jza80 turbo front housing will not fit.
