mx32 fender mirror switch loom/fender mirror loom/mirrror installation questions

Hi all,

I got some fender mirrors from a forum member, and the fender mirror switch from yahoo japan.
I was told that the oz delivered cressidas have the plugs in the loom, they just arent in use.
I had a look today for the loom that goes to the control switch. I thought it would be under the steering wheel column surround somewhere, but I didn't find it.
The plug on the mirror switch has a 6pin slot separated by a 4 pin slot but it works as one plug.

my questions:

1) any tips on location of switch loom?
2)is there supposed to be an extension harness that runs from said loom to the switch?
3)where does the japan delivered fender mirror switch actually mount in car (any pictures?)
4)does anyone on here have a personal import japanese mx32 with fender mirrors installed that would be willing to give me measurements for installation?
5)are the plugs for the mirrors themselves under the inner plastic guards or?

Pictures would be most helpful.

If u look underneath the guard, u'll see a kink in the railing. thats exactly where the mirrors go.

i'm guessing the loom should be around there also.
most mirror switches are bottom right of steering wheel

well i just had another look. pulled off inner plastic guards cannot see a plug for mirrors anywhere. can't see a plug in the bay either. it would be helpful if someone could put up a pic and draw exactly where they found there plugs?

also no loom for switch bottom right steering wheel, its a large plug so you'd think i'd be able to see it easily?

EDIT: also a wiring diagram for electric mirrors would be good so i can just make my own wiring loom if plugs cant be located...

Well I took some pictures because I sure as hell can't find the damn plugs anywhere

If i'm looking in the wrong spot someone please correct me! I've tried bottom left steering wheel, bottom right, and stuck my head upside down under the dash for ages trying to find the damn plug.
lol might be easier to just go to an auto elec and have something custom made...
i could understand not finding 1 plug, but to not find the mirror plugs or the switch? maybe mine were cut off?

Hey mate, i just looked at my mx32 and looks like the loom only came with the jdm models.

Here's the plug in the jdm mx30


They must have only used the same loom in the engine bay, as thats where i got the plugs that plug into the mirrors.
Here is a pic of the plug, it should be on loom around the headlight plugs.



If you plan on keeping them you can probably make a custom plug and run it into the cabin. I can help you with pins as well. PM me if you need help.

I've recently installed fender mirrors on my mx36.

Pretty straight forward to hook up the wires on the mirror without the plug you are searching for. I'm not sure on the wiring config on your motorised mirrors. With mine, I just used a mirror switch from a Gen 2 liberty. This nearly perfectly fits on the dash, right hand side of the steering wheel (where there are two round and one rectangle spare switch thingy). Ran the wire from the mirrors to the switch around the engine bay and through a grommet through the firewall.

Has anyone got a wiring diagram for the fender mirror for the MX32?

Don't have a diagram, but there are 4 wires for each side. up down left right direction, i just test each wire for the direction. The 2 middle wires are ground and power. simples.
