How many interstaters and other would be interested in a dinner afterwards. Happy to sort one out..

Stitt, we are looking to organising a dinner afterwards, possibly something similar to the Belgium Beer Cafe that we did last year. We also though it might be worthwhile having a pre Toyotafest meetup at a local car wash the afternoon before for interstaters to meet and greet and get their toys cleaned up.
unfortunately my efforts to make this have taken a nasty blow....
new brake lines for the diff were done yesty....
unfortunately the picking up of said diff has given me a very nasty back strain - hopefully all it is.... Doc has me off work for a few days at least, physio.... and no lifting...
unfortunately the jobs left on the car include refitting the diff, with all the new arms etc, so under car welding and doing the exhaust... all of which are bad for said injury.
What makes it worse is i do manual handling and risk assesments every day..... and have been moving the diff reguarly over the last week - what was the difference? well the diff wasnt sitting on stands like it has been, rather on the floor -an extra foot, with no adjustment of technique or consideration.... the straw that breaks the camels back....

Is it raining at the moment where you are Stew? Better not go outside
Jokes aside, that sucks man... will you still come along for a look and to say gday?
Cheers

believe it or not it did just piss down briefly.. thunder/lightning etc.... and yup, chocolate soldier mate - melt in the sun...
well i have the day off organised, so yeah could still come down if i dont get it sorted.. which is unlikely, couldn't really afford the time off it today, let alone how much longer it takes to get better....
You bringin the family up?

nah mate, family is not up for a road trip at this stage unfortunately. I'll just get a family member to come over for the day and look after the girls while I take off to Sydney for a break.

Do we have any indication of numbers ? So far here im counting well under 20, and unsure of other groups but hoping its going to be worth our while to come along.
It will only be "worth your while" if everybody else also believes it is worth their while and just gets out there
If we all sit back waiting for someone to hold our hands, then I guess we'll all be lonely at home on the day
Just do it. DO IT. do it.
