That will be fine mate, I have not seen thicker stuff used much for a DP?
I need to make a new dump pipe shortly, and have previously used steam pipe. Don't want the weight and the heat capacity anymore, so was looking to do it in thinner tubing. Issue is, I can't get the sizes I need in a 2.5 or 3ish mm thick pipe with mandrel bends locally.
Anyone know if 1.6 and 2mm mild steel will be too thin and burn out quickly due to the heat?
Will likely ceramic coat it anyway to cut out some radiant heat around the brake lines etc, so that may help it last?
Thanks for any help.

R.I.P.
that would have been a big dump pipe :O
Yes it was way overkill - but I needed a dump pipe in a hurry, and I had the pipe on hand and couldn't get anything else mandrel in the time frame.
Thanks fellas, good to hear that the 1.6 will be fine. Makes life very easy.
