Default Carburetor service / tuning in Melbourne

    Hi all,

Newbie here, I tried searching but was not able to find any info

I'm looking for a mechanic in Melb that is familiar with the old celicas.

I've recently purchased a ta22 which has intermittent idling issues and spluttering under load.
I've checked the usual spark related lists and down to the carby as the possible culprit.

Any suggestions on a carby specialist that can tune and rebuild if needed?
I'm located in eastern/south eastern suburbs

    Thanks!

I assume it is running the standard Aisin carb and not twin carbs or 32/36 downdraught Weber?

Give Richie at Allcraft Automotive in Moorabbin at call. He has worked on plenty of old school Celicas and Corollas and although he and his mate Lou are experts in twin carbs and tuning they will have no trouble with sorting your issues.

Lou Mondello is the man. He works behind Allcraft . http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Dellorto-...item25ad1a5266 . They adevertise on EBay. Have dunk and have forgot more about Carburtors than most will ever know. They tuned my twin 40 solexs. Best in Melbourne, probably best in the country. Great people.
