    Default Supra ignition switch wiring?

Im after a bit of clarification about the wiring for a GA70 supra ignition switch. The wiring diagrams i have dont really show much.

    I am using a GA70 loom for my 1G into ra28 conversion.
I would like to be clear on what the following wires are at the ignition switch.

Blue/Red - Acc (pretty clear that one)
    Black/yellow- IG1 (ignition 1?)
    Brown- AM2 ?
    Brown/White- IG2 ?
    Brown/Red- ST2 (starter 2)?
    Black/White -ST1 (starter1)?
    Black/red- AM1 ? main 12v feed?

Also, there are two green wires which go to a small switch on the key barrel itself?

Any help to clear up what these are and what they do would be great.
    Thanks.
    Tom

Ahh crap, youre not gonna make me go and climb upside down thorugh my stinkin car are you?

The two smaller wires....do they go to the side of the key barrel or the back like the thicker wires? If they go to the side of it, I think they are more to do with a security feature like steering lock or something. (Ie. switch on when barrel is turned, rather than when thick wires are bridged)
I used to eat alot of natural foods. That was until I learned that most people died of natural causes.

They are two separate switches, hence the 1 and 2.
Basically power comes in on AM1 or AM2, and exits through the other wires respectively.
They run different circuits in the car but essentially do the same thing - switch power.

The thin wires are a switch that determines if the key in the barrel or not.

Do you need more indepth information?

    Thanks mate, that is helpful.
Do you know why there is two ignition curcuits and would it function properly if i fed these power from one 12v source in my ra28?
Also, do you know which starter circuit does what?

As for the switch that determines if the key is in the lock, will i run into any issues if i leave this in the loom and the switch is open?

Thanks guys. I appreciate your help.

"The IG1 and IG2 are switched ignition power supplies.
In general IG1 supplies the accessories, like wipers, blinkers, gauge, etc

IG2 supplies switching signal to relays such as the efi relay, ecu IGSW pin, etc. and most commonly directly supplies the injectors, the ignitor(s) and coil(s) - ie dirty power supply. (On some newer cars IG2 is supplied through a relay rather than directly through the ignition switch)."

I don't know what you're doing exactly so I can't give you a specific answer. If you're hooking up in the entire GA70 wiring loom including the dash, engine bay and engine then I would recommend running it the way the factory did it. If you're only hooking up portions of the GA70 loom then the answer will vary from "yeah it's fine" to "no way" depending on how many things you're hooking up, and exactly how you're doing it.

Not without looking at notes, but in most cases it doesn't matter, whereas in others it does matter depending on the same things as above. In most conversions you can get away with only using one ST line (easily and not inappropriately) - but once again it depends on what you're doing.

Once again depends on what you're doing, if you're using the whole GA70 loom then not having that switch may mean things like your ignition barrel light will always light up or something like that, or things like your auto shifter not being released from park.

I apologise for the vagueness of this reply, but you need to be specific about what you're intending on doing with these as I'm not in a position to go through all the possibilities and let you pick one scenario.

There's a ton of accessories factory fitted to these cars and in most cases none of them are used in conversions. The more of these you use, the closer you will need to be to factory hookups for everything to work properly.
