I don't know how to post pics on here but I can tell you how I got around a couple of problems.
For the dizzy I got a Chevy HEI and cut about 60mm of the shaft.
Machined a flat to drive it same as stock and fitted the Toyo drive gear on the shaft.
Sleeved it up to fit the block and now have a fairly foolproof ignition setup.
As I did not have an original computer and a fair bit of the injection setup, I discarded the complete inlet manifold
and made my own.
It has about a 4litre plenum with 8 separate runners and run direct to each inlet port.
On top are 2 large throttle bodies with gas[lpg]] carbies attached.
It is in a 31 Ford and runs the stock Aisin 4 speed with overdrive.
Not finished yet but not too soon.

If you look at the heads on page 2 you will see that they have water in and out at each end of the head.
My manifold/valley setup blocks the front water return and I used the back 2 to return water to the radiator.I have a pipe running under
and between the inlet runners to the front.

its saves about 35-40lbs and in the toyota 5v since its internally balanced and v8 engines are smooth there is no need

Without the waterpump housing, lighter crank pulleys, paradise racing roller rockers (t series head based design?), billet

You can go nuts for sure but what a beautiful gem of a v8 they are!!! also 90mm sleeves will raise compression nicely

Supercharging would be the cheapest bet fed by sidedraft weber and plenty of ignition only options.
You have some decent ideas there. I have no idea what all that stuff weighs and don't want to find out.
The motor has about 10,000ks and I hope not to replace any bits in my lifetime.
I reckon with a good exhaust and the higher octane rating of gas she will get along pretty good.
I'm running a Hilux diff and the 4speed with overdrive auto so it will get along really well
and have some good acceleration.

Nice hotrod!!! imaginative intake, and ignition... but I want to keep it as low as I can... my plan isn't to fit it in a hotrod.
liteace - As to the rocker type/design, they are not the same as the "T" engine type.
I has been a while....... the engine has finally been torn down to the last nut and bolt. The good news is all the bearings show little or no sign of wear (YEAH!), the oil pump, and housing also show no sign of wear(YEAH!), and the final bit of good news is the timing chain, and tensioners show only minimal wear (YEAH!)
The "bad news".... the rubber "O" ring that seals each cylinder into the block will need some kind of replacement, and the bigger bad news is there is wear in the pushrod end of the rocker arms(most of them) a solution is now undecided..... and still to be determined... the lifters also show some cupping (wear). The cam and lifters are going out to Oregon Cam to get "read", so that we learn the duration, lift, and since it is a single cam - lobe separation angle....
The block has some nifty features... the main caps are all doweled, and all the mains use studs. Additionally the oil galley plug acts as a timing chain squirter/oiler.

thats a solid looking engine block! pity T series aftermkt stuff doesnt work its cheap these days

Question, So how did these gaskets measure or compare to the old head gaskets as far a as measurements.
If I'm correct, your sent them sample gaskets to be remade, correct?

Are the pistons flat top??
Best design for flame path if so.
