No fuse necessary
If you got a fuse big enough to run starter you would get a lot of spraks/damage before fuse blew if something did go wrong.
should i wire a huge rating fuse for the Battery wire to starter motor? if yes, what rating should i use? its a OEM 3TC T50 gearbox starter.

the starter draws more power than anything else in the car by a long way. When I relocated my battery to the boot, I fused the main cable with a fuse graded to cope with starter motor current draw (250A from memory). This fused both the starter and the main cable at once, so in the case of shorting the fuse would go, not my carpet catch fire
But yeah, maybe too much info![]()
things happen like this. i completely rewire my whole car electrical wiring.. i use a fuse just right off the battery + terminal and rated 60Amps.. everything works well and yes the starter battery is after this fuse. so Battery + --> 60Amps Fuse -->Starter, electrical systems in car.
it works great until yesterday.. i blew the main fuse when i crank the car.. so i was wondering which part went wrong..
how could this happen?
Your starter draws a lot more than 60 amps from the battery. Putting a 60 amp fuse will mean it will continually blow. If you want a fuse, use one that has a very high rating (like Draven said 250A) or better still dont use one at all.
